VALENTINES PARTY

If you love to entertain and you haven't heard of Houseparty.com, sign up right now! I was selected to host an event for Valentines sponsored by Durex. It goes without saying that this was an adult only event. Houseparty sent me free party favors for my guests like koozies, lubricant samples etc. I even got an awesome hostess gift! We played a few silly games and enjoyed some snacks like chocolate covered strawberries. I'll use any excuse to get my chocolate fountain out;)

A couple of years ago I got tired of buying helium filled balloons and decided to find more creative ways of using regular balloons. So, I found hanging balloons from the ceiling with fishing wire a nice way to add flair to a space without blowing my party budget. Because when you like to entertain as much as I do you can't spend a fortune on each party.
My sweet hubby(yes that him and I) has faith in my party budget abilities and gratefully doesn't complain. I spent less than 150 on this night including food and cocktails.

Tropical dinner party

Having a birthday in one of the coldest months in the south didn't stop me from having a birthday dinner with tropical flair. My inspiration came from a vinyl tablecloth I found on clearance at Ross.(3.99) I took flowers and tied them to small branches for my centerpiece in a white vase. Super cheap flower buds in small glass vase accented the table, along with candles. I love assigned seating so each guest had a umbrella with their name attached stuck in a lime. The signature drink was lime margaritas. For dinner we had chicken fajitas. My good friend Ali made chocolate cupcakes with a pink 26 on them for the birthday girls age. This was super cheap and I hardly bought any decor. Ahhh another birthday gone by.

This was the sign posted at entrance to dance and music area. A seperate lounge area in a quiet part of the house was reserved for parents.

This is where hair and makeup was done. I made the big pom pom out of tissue paper.
The favortite of the night was rock star tattos and body glitter.

As each guest arrived they received a personalized VIP pass and a hand stamp.

Each child decorated a guitar to take home. There were two kinds of guitars.

Bowl is full of purple gems. Found little pails at Target I used skewers and stars to make centerpieces that rock.
